Colombo, Sri Lanka: On September 17, India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the Asia Cup 2023 championship game to win the trophy an unprecedented eighth time.
Mohammed Siraj was the star of the show for India, picking up 6 wickets for 21 runs, the best figures for a fast bowler in the Asia Cup. Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 50 runs, their lowest total against India and the second-lowest total of all time.
